You can request a New Provider Enrollment packet by calling the Provider & Recipient Call Center (PARCC) at (559) 600-6666 option 4. You will be scheduled for New Provider Orientation Class which is a free in-person training course conducted by the Public Authority staff that will provide basic understanding of the program and your responsibilities as an IHSS Care Provider.

At the time of New Provider Orientation, you will be issued a fingerprint referral form. The IHSS program requires all providers be fingerprinted via Live Scan to complete a criminal background check through the State of California Department of Justice. State law requires the provider pay for the cost of the criminal background check and fingerprinting.
