Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has provided interim guidance for Healthcare Professionals for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). This interim guidance is based on what is currently known about the transmission and severity of COVID-19. The CDC will update this guidance as needed and as additional information becomes available. Reporting a Confirmed or Suspected COVID-19 case:

Per Title 17, COVID-19 is required to be reported by healthcare providers. COVID-19 confirmed and suspected cases can be reported:

  • Electronically
  • By Phone at (559) 600-3332

When reporting, information on patient demographics, signs and symptoms, and exposure risk will be needed.
