Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium (M.A.G.E.C.)

Since 1997, the Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium (MAGEC) has been singly focused on combating gangs and gang crime. A team of dedicated District Attorney prosecutors work alongside law enforcement officials from the Fresno Police Department, Fresno Sheriff's Office, the United States Attorney, FBI, ATF, Homeland Security, California Highway Patrol, California Department of Justice, Fresno County Probation, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and the other local law enforcement agencies of Fresno County. With the increased use of high-tech electronic investigations, MAGEC has broadened its reach to every corner of Fresno County, California, and the across the United States and beyond.

MAGEC investigations and prosecutions target gang members who commit murders, shootings, stabbings, burglary, drug sales and human trafficking. The MAGEC team works around the clock to identify gang members and bring them to justice. Along with the traditional method of boots on the ground, MAGEC uses cutting edge technology to identify and track gang members no matter where they hide, no matter how they try to cover their tracks.

For additional information about the MAGEC Unit, please see the Fresno County Sheriff's Department website.
