District Attorney Lisa A. Smittcamp is committed, and always will be committed, to public safety.  One of the District Attorney's top goals is to protect the citizens of Fresno County against high risk sex offenders.  Our Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit works with all of the various law enforcement agencies in Fresno County (including local, state, and Federal) to ensure that high risk sex offenders who fail to register are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

The Department of State Hospitals is the agency responsible for locating and recommending housing for Sexually Violent Predator's (SVP's) who have been ordered released into our community for ongoing treatment.  The District Attorney's Office is not involved in this process other than to notify the public once a proposal has been made, and to ensure that the public's concerns and objections are brought to the court's attention before there is a final decision made on the proposed location.

 SVP's Currently on Conditional Release

Currently, there are no SVP's that have been released into our community on supervised outpatient conditional release.  Please check back periodically to see if there have been any SVP's conditionally released for supervised outpatient treatment.

SVP's Awaiting Placement on Conditional Release

Currently, the following SVP's have been found to be amenable to outpatient treatment on conditional release.  They are currently awaiting a judicial determination as to where they will be living:
