Conditional Voter Registration (CVR)

 YourVoteCounts

Eligible Fresno County residents who missed the voter registration deadline still have an option to vote. Under California Elections Law, Conditional Voter Registration (CVR) allows a prospective voter to conditionally register and cast a provisional ballot.

Conditional Voter Registration is only available at the Registrar of Voters office, located at 2221 Kern Street, Fresno.

Conditional Voter Registration must be completed in person.

Conditional Voter Registration is not available at polling places on Election Day or online.

How this works:

  1. If you missed the deadline (May 21, 2018) to register, you may still vote – conditionally – if you visit the Registrar of Voters office at 2221 Kern Street and complete a Conditional Voter Registration application.
  2. After completing the Conditional Voter Registration application, you will be issued a provisional ballot.
  3. As soon as the Conditional Voter Registration application is verified, the provisional ballot will be counted and your registration will become active. You may then vote in future elections.
