ASSESSOR PAUL DICTOS RELEASES 2019 ASSESSMENT ROLL,
REPORTS 5.84% INCREASE OVER THE PRIOR YEAR

Fresno, California- Assessor Paul Dictos released the 2019 Fresno County (County) tax roll, and announced that the annual Assessment Roll hit $90.46 billion, a 5.84 percent increase over the prior year. The Assessment Roll reflects the total net assessed value of all real and business properties in the County as of January 1, 2019, and provides a comprehensive view of the strength of the County real estate market and business property including machinery, equipment, computers and fixtures. During the past eight years, the Assessment Roll has grown 58 percent, more than any time since the hyperinflation period of the early 1980's.

The major beneficiaries of property tax revenue are public schools, community colleges, cities and the County. "This is GOOD NEWS for our families and children", said Assessor Dictos.

The Assessment Roll illustrates that in the last year, every city except the City of San Joaquin, recorded an increase, ranging from 13% (City of Fowler) to 3% (City of Huron)¬≠see attachment.

Assessor Dictos delivered the Assessment Roll to the Fresno County Auditor - Controller. The Auditor-Controller's Office applies the annual tax rate, mails property tax bills to property owners and collects property tax revenues.

"The Assessor and staff seek excellence in providing information, services, and accurate property assessments through our personal commitment to integrity, mutual respect and teamwork," said Dictos.
