Learn about becoming part of the Voter’s Choice Act Advisory Committee
VOTER’S CHOICE ACT (VCA) ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Thursday, March 28, 2019 – two sessions available: 3:00 PM or 6:00 PM
Fresno County Elections Training Facility 4525 E. Hamilton Fresno, California 93702 Members of the public are invited to attend one of two sessions to be held next week to learn about becoming a part of the Fresno County Clerk/Elections Department Voter’s Choice Act (VCA) Advisory Committee. The VCA Advisory Committee will work with Brandi Orth, Fresno County Clerk/Registrar of Voters and her team, to advise and assist the County Clerk/Elections Department in:
- Determining the best locations for the 50 vote centers and the 31 ballot drop off locations to insure equitable distribution across the county and with consideration of the 14 criteria specified in the VCA.
- Developing and implementing the Voter Education and Outreach Plan as specified in the VCA. This plan will be included in the Elections Administration Plan to be approved by the Secretary of State.
The VCA Advisory Committee will work in conjunction with the VAAC (Voter Accessibility Advisory Committee) and the LAAC (Language Accessibility Advisory Committee.) The VAAC and the LAAC are ongoing committees. Representatives from the VAAC and the LAAC will also serve on the VCA Advisory Committee.
