Fresno County Board of Supervisors held special meeting in Coalinga to cover range of topics

FRESNO, CA – The Fresno County Board of Supervisors met late last week to discuss the vision and mission statements of Fresno County, and to establish goals to best meet the needs of the County moving forward.

The public meeting, held at Harris Ranch Inn and Restaurant in Coalinga, spanned Thursday and Friday and covered a range of discussion topics including, but not limited to, water, economic development, agricultural interests, and the Board’s commitment to delivering the best possible services to County residents and businesses.

As a result of the meeting the Board established revised vision and mission statements to help guide Fresno County’s growth and development. Additionally, the Board formulated desired goals to be pursued in close partnership with city leaders, departments, stakeholders and the County of Fresno in support of the revised vision and mission.

  • Vision: Working together for a quality of life for all.
  • Mission: To provide excellent public services to our diverse community.
  • Goals:
    • Continued focus on water-related strategies and tactics
    • Economic development
    • Communicate and collaborate equally with all constituents within the County of Fresno
    • Increase leadership profile and work in close collaboration with all cities within the County of Fresno 
    • Maintain clear and open communication among all stakeholders to ensure the Board is knowledgeable and informed

This retreat was the first of its kind for the Board of Supervisors.
