Mission Statement:

The Fresno County IHSS Advisory Committee is dedicated to enhancing the lives of the blind, disabled, and aging community and those who provide for their care. This is achieved by collaboration with the County of Fresno, community agencies and the public.

As mandated by law (AB1682) Fresno County created the IHSS Advisory Committee. The Fresno County Board of Supervisors can appoint ten (10) advisory committee members. At least five (5) of the committee members must be past or present Recipients of IHSS or personal care services. In addition, three (3) members represent past or present IHSS Providers or personal care providers, and two (2) members represent community based organizations who work with the blind, disabled, or aging population.

The committee informs and makes recommendations to the Fresno County Board of Supervisors on issues related to the IHSS Program.
