EARLY VOTING BEGINS TODAY, MAY 7, 2018

Vote By Mail Ballots are on their way to Fresno County voters

FRESNO, CA – Brandi Orth, the Fresno County Clerk/Registrar of Voters has announced that TODAY is the opening of Early Voting for the Statewide Direct Primary Election, which will be held June 5, 2018. Beginning today, the main Elections office will serve as a polling place, Monday through Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm from May 7 through June 5, 2018. Additionally, vote-by-mail ballots have been mailed to those voters that have requested their ballots be sent to them.

“Early voting is a great opportunity for voters with busy schedules or who cannot make it to their polling place on June 5, 2018. We hope voters will take advantage of this opportunity to come down to the Elections office and cast their ballots. Every vote counts!” emphasized Fresno County Clerk Brandi Orth.

The main Elections office, located at 2221 Kern Street, Fresno CA 93721, acts as a countywide polling place. Voters can come into the office to pick up their ballot and take it with them or they can actually cast their vote at that time. Additionally, voters can call the Elections office at (559) 600-8683 to request that a Vote-by-Mail ballot be mailed to them. Voters can also go online at fresnovote.com to verify and update their registration.

Clerk Orth concluded, “We want to ensure that voters have every opportunity to vote.  Please contact our office with any questions or to request information. We are here to help."
