Lost Lake Recreation Area Campground Re-Opening Ceremony

WHAT: Fresno County will host a Grand Re-Opening Ceremony for the Lost
Lake Recreation Area campground this Thursday, September 14, 2017. The
campground has been closed to the public for the past three years undergoing a
$1.25 million renovation. Funding for the renovation was made possible
through a grant from the State Wildlife Conservation Board, via the
recommendation of the San Joaquin River Conservancy. The grant funding is
part of Proposition 40, passed by the voters in 2002. In addition, the County of
Fresno, through its Parks and Grounds section of the Department of Public
Works and Planning, provided over $100,000 of “in-kind” labor and materials.

Improvements include:
• Reconstructed roadways, parking lots and camping stalls
• New group camping area shade structure with BBQ and fire pit
• New day-use shade structure with BBQ and elevated platform
• New ADA compliant restroom
• 55 new picnic tables
• 36 new BBQ/Fire Rings
• New campsite signage
