Medically Indigent Services Program - MISP

If the applicant is Undocumented, a Legal Permanent Resident, or United States Citizen, they may be eligible for the Medical Indigent Service Program (MISP) at Community Regional Medical Center.  The applicant can be married or single, with or without children.  If the applicant is visiting on a passport or a Visa, they are not eligible for these services.  To receive these benefits:

  • An applicant must be between the ages of 21 and 65
  • Meet income, expense, and/or property requirements

Applications are accepted at Community Regional Medical Center in the Eligibility Office located at 2017 E. Illinois, Building A in Fresno.  The applicant will need to provide verification of any bank accounts they have, any cash on hand, earned and unearned income.  If their income fluctuates, they will need to apply monthly for MISP services.  If the income of the applicant is steady, they only need to apply every three months.  The applicant will also have to provide proof of payment for housing, utilities, and transportation costs.
