    CHANGE IN LOCATION FOR MARRIAGE CEREMONIES

    Wedding RingsThe County Clerk/Elections Department will be conducting Special Elections on the following dates:

    Tuesday, May 21, 2013
    Tuesday, June 4, 2013
    Tuesday, July 23, 2013
    Tuesday, November 5, 2013

    These special elections will prevent wedding ceremonies from being performed in the marriage ceremony room located in the County Clerk’s office at 2221 Kern Street, Fresno.

    Marriage ceremonies will be available on a limited basis and, weather permitting, in a nearby courtyard. Ceremonies will also be available at the Clerk’s desk.

    Due to the recent increase in requests for passport processing, here are a few tips to help make your passport visit to the County Clerk/Registrar of Voters Department less stressful:

     

    Monday and Fridays are very busy days at the County Clerk’s office. You might consider arriving Tuesday through Thursday before noon, which is typically less busy. Customers arriving after 3pm (M-F) for passport processing typically see a lengthy waiting period in the lobby.Click for more Passport information

    1. Please be prepared with all necessary requirements for the passport application. Photo copies of vital statistic documents are not acceptable. Vital statistic documents must be originals or certified copies. “Keepsake” or “ceremonial” copies are not considered original documents.
    2. Minors (under age 16) must be accompanied by both parents and both parents must have proper identification.
    3. Adult passport renewals are not processed at our facility. Renewals for adults must be sent directly by the applicant to the National Passport Processing Center. Application Form DS-82 is required and can be obtained by visiting travel.state.gov.
