About Us

We are a new program working to bring the Department of Social Services together with the local community of Fresno in an effort to provide support to individuals who are caring for children of their relatives or close family friends; we call these individuals, “Kinship Care Providers”

Why are Kinship Care Providers so important? They can provide: Family Ties, Support of lifelong traditions & memories, Love and care in a familiar setting, Guidance and reinforcement of a child's cultural identity & self-esteem

 All Kinship Caregivers who have children living with them through foster care are required to attend a Relative/Non Related Extended Family Member orientation.  Orientations are held at the Mosqueda Center.
