In-Home Supportive Services Advisory Committee (IHSSAC)
Mission Statement:
The Fresno County IHSS Advisory Committee (IHSSAC) is dedicated to enhancing the lives of the blind, disabled and aging community and those that provide for their care.
As mandated by law (AB1682) Fresno County Human Services, Department of Adult Services created the In-Home Supportive Services Advisory Committee (IHSSAC). The Fresno County Board appointed eleven (11) advisory committee members establishing a diverse committee representing each of the five districts. More than 50% (6) of the committee members represent past or present users of the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) program. In addition, two members represent past or present IHSS care providers and three committee members represent community based organizations advocating for the disabled.
The committee is responsible for informing and gives ongoing advice to the Board of Supervisors on issues related to the IHSS program serving more than 20,000 consumers and care providers in Fresno County.
