Obtain Copies of Marriage Certificates
If you plan to marry and need to obtain a license, please contact the Fresno County Clerk Services Recorded Information at (559) 600-2575.
The Recorder's Office can provide copies of public Marriage Certificates issued by agencies within Fresno County, but we do not issue Marriage Licenses.
The Recorder's Office does not record or provide copies of Confidential Marriage Certificates.

Divorce (Dissolution) information is available from the Family Law Section of the Superior Court, (559) 457-2000.

If You Order In Person
- The maiden name of the bride
- The name of the groom.
- The date of the marriage.
- The city where the license was issued.
- Complete sections 1 through 3 on the form. Your signature must be witnessed by a clerk in our office. It does not need to be notarized.
- Forms are also available in the office

- The maiden name of the bride

- Complete address where the copy is to be mailed.
